Entrepreneur Residency

A strategic pathway for founders to live, scale, and operate in Qatar. Offered in partnership with leading incubators, this residency grants long-term status with the option to renew and a range of lifestyle and business advantages.

The Entrepreneur Residency also supports entrepreneurs endorsed by Startup Qatar, an Invest Qatar initiative that serves as a single, comprehensive gateway to information, support, and opportunities for startups.

Entrepreneur Criteria

  • Official endorsement certificate from a recognized business incubator in Qatar.
  • Bank statement with a minimum balance of no less than QAR 36,500 (or its equivalent in local currency) over the past three months.
 

Required documents — Residing Entrepreneurs

General requirements
  • Minimum 18 years of age.
  • Qatari ID copy.
  • Recent personal photograph.
  • 3-month bank statement (stamped).
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV).
 
Special requirements
  • Endorsement letter from local incubator.
  • Establishment card.
 

Required documents — Overseas Entrepreneurs

General requirements
  • Minimum 18 years of age.
  • Passport with a minimum of 6 months’ validity.
  • Recent personal photograph.
  • Attested 3-month bank statement with a minimum balance of USD 10,000.
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV).
  • Attested police clearance certificate.
Special requirements
  • Endorsement letter from the local incubator.
     
Note on attestation:Attested documents must be authenticated by the releasing entity, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) of the issuing country and the relevant Qatar Embassy (or by Qatar MoFA if attested within Qatar).
 

Entrepreneur Application Journey (QID holders)

1. Entrepreneurs should be incubated by one of the business incubators listed above.

2. Incubator nominates the entrepreneur to Jusour along with an endorsement letter.

3. Entrepreneur receives a notification with a link to apply.

4. Apply: complete the form and upload required.

5. Receive QID upon approval.

6. Ongoing support and post-placement assistance.

 

Entrepreneur Application Journey (Overseas)

1. Entrepreneur should be incubated by one of the business incubators in Qatar.

2. Incubator nominates the entrepreneur to Jusour along with an endorsement letter.

3. Entrepreneur receives a notification with a link to apply.

4. Apply: complete the form and upload required.

5. Receive entrepreneur entry permit.

6. Land in Qatar: complete medical test, fingerprinting, and QID issuance.

7. Post-arrival support and assistance.

Executive Residency

The Executive Residency is available to current residents of the State of Qatar (QID holders). It enables senior professionals already living in Qatar to transition smoothly and efficiently to an executive residency status while maintaining business continuity.
This stream is based on employer nomination, document verification, and an expedited process.
 
Who Can Apply
  • Senior executive employees nominated by their employer who meet the eligibility criteria.

Executive Criteria
 

Minimum Salary Requirement
The monthly salary must not be less than:
  • QAR 50,000for the following positions:Chairman, CEO, CFO, CTO, COO.
  • QAR 80,000for other Executive Director titles.
Previous Work Experience
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a senior executive management position, inside or outside the State of Qatar, within a company or other entity.
Employment Contract Details
A valid local employment contract with a company classified under one of the following categories:
  • Public shareholding companies listed on the Qatar Stock Exchange.
  • Banks and financial institutions licensed by Qatar Central Bank.
  • Insurance companies licensed by Qatar Central Bank or the Qatar Financial Markets Authority (QFMA).
  • Consulting firms operating in the fields of management, finance, legal, and accounting services for governmental and semi-governmental entities.
 

Required Documents
 

General Requirements
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • Copy of Qatari ID (QID).
  • Recent personal photograph.
  • Three (3) months’ bank statement (signed and stamped).
  • Attested experience letters and Curriculum Vitae (CV).
  • Attested academic degree(s).
  • Valid health insurance.
Special Requirements
  • Valid establishment card.
  • Valid company commercial registration copy.
  • Copy of Board of Directors’ appointment decision.
  • Recently issued employment letter.
  • Valid employment contract.
 

Executive Application Journey
 

1. The executive expresses interest to their employer.

2. The employer nominates the executive using the Jusour Platform.

3. The executive receives a notification with a link to apply.

4. Apply: Upload passport copy, QID, stamped three (3) months bank statement, establishment card, personal photo, CV, and supporting documents.

5. QID issuance upon approval.

6. Dedicated support throughout the placement.
